Discussion on Common Materials for Sheet Metal Processing
Sheet metal processing is mainly based on metal materials, sheet metal processing commonly used materials are:
1. Sheet metal processing-galvanized steel sheet SECC
The base material of SECC is ordinary cold-rolled steel coil, which becomes electro-galvanized product after degreasing, pickling, electroplating and various post-processing processes of continuous electro-galvanized production line. SECC not only has the same mechanical properties and workability as general cold-rolled steel sheets, but also has excellent corrosion resistance and decorative appearance.
2. Sheet metal processing-ordinary cold rolled sheet SPCC
SPCC refers to the continuous rolling of steel ingots through a cold rolling mill into steel coils or sheets of the required thickness. The surface of SPCC has no protective layer and is easily oxidized when exposed to air, especially in a humid environment, the oxidation rate is accelerated and dark red rust appears. Paint, electroplating or other protective measures should be applied to the surface during use.
3. Sheet metal processing-hot-dip galvanized steel SGCC
Hot-dip galvanized steel coil refers to a semi-finished product after hot-rolled, pickled or cold-rolled, cleaned and annealed, and then immersed in a molten zinc bath at about 460°C, so that the surface of the steel sheet is plated with a layer of zinc, followed by quenching and tempering and chemical treatment.
4. Sheet metal processing-stainless steel SUS304
One of the most widely used stainless steel. Because it contains nickel (nickel), it has better corrosion resistance and heat resistance than chromium (chromium) steel. It has very good mechanical properties, no heat treatment hardening phenomenon, and no elasticity.
5. Sheet metal processing-stainless steel SUS301
The content of Cr (chromium) is lower than that of SUS304, and the corrosion resistance is poor. However, good tensile force and hardness can be obtained in the stamping after cold working, and good elasticity. It is mainly used for shrapnel spring and anti-electromagnetic interference.
