What material should be selected for sheet metal processing?
The materials commonly used in sheet metal processing are hot rolled plate (SHCC), cold rolled plate (SPCC), galvanized plate (SECC,SGCC), copper (CU) brass, beryllium copper, red copper, aluminum plate (6061, 5052, 1010, 1060, 6063, duralumin, etc.), aluminum profile, stainless steel (mirror, brushed, matte), the choice of materials is different, depending on the function of the product, it is often necessary to consider the purpose and cost of the product:
1. Sheet metal processing cold-rolled sheet SPCC, mainly used for electroplating and baking paint parts, easy to form, low cost, material thickness ≤ 3.2mm.
2. Hot-rolled sheet SHCC, material T≥ 3.0mm, also uses electroplated and painted parts, mainly flat parts, low cost but difficult to form.
3. Galvanized sheet SECC,SGCC. SECC electrolytic plates are divided into N material and P material. The N material is mainly used for surface treatment and is costly. P material is used for painting parts.
4. Copper: Mainly made of conductive materials, its surface treatment is nickel plating, chrome plating or no treatment, which is expensive.
5. Aluminum plate; usually use surface chromate (J11-A), oxidation method (conductive oxidation method, chemical oxidation method), high cost, nickel plating, silver plating.
6. Aluminum profiles; materials with complex cross-sectional structures are widely used in various sub-boxes. The surface treatment is the same as the aluminum plate.
7. Stainless steel: mainly used for metal without any surface treatment, high cost.
